Why Terschelling?

Terschelling, the largest Wadden Island, is very popular with young and old. The island has a varied landscape, making it very suitable for a nice walk or bike ride. With more than 80 kilometres of cycling paths along woods, dunes, heath and wide beaches, you can indulge yourself as a cycling fan. The rolling bike paths across the island ensure a unique cycling experience. Or you can take a nice walk on the long, broad, sandy beaches and spot birds or seals.

Discover the characteristic villages such as Midsland, West-Terschelling, Formerum, Hoorn and Oosterend. Each village has something unique to offer. If you want more entertainment in the evening, then you can visit the villages of Midsland or West-Terschelling, where you will find cosy bars and restaurants. Discover the tranquillity and natural beauty that Terschelling has to offer: visit the beautiful European Nature Reserve Boschplaat, where you can spot many species of birds on the broad beach and, with some luck, seals!
