Résidence Terschelling Wellness Waddenresort is within walking distance of the lively village of Midsland. Within a five-minute walk from our resort, you will find the cosy village centre. Midsland is the second-largest village in Terschelling and is located in the middle of the island. This makes Midsland a good base for exploring the rest of the island on foot or by bike. In less than ten minutes cycling or 20 minutes walking, you can be on the broad beach and feel the sand under your feet and the wind through your hair. During your cycling trip through the polder, spot the many bird species and, with some luck, you can see the seals lying on the beach. Or you can take a half-hour bike ride to West-Terschelling, where you can stroll through the many streets and visit the Brandaris and the harbour.
The village of Midsland is characterized by the cruciform church from 1880 and the many characteristic buildings. Here you will find the old Terschelling. Many of the buildings are national monuments in which shops and restaurants are located today. This creates a real village feeling. Stroll through the pleasant shopping street called ‘Oosterburen’, eat a delicious ice cream at ‘De IJswinkel’, spend the afternoon talking while enjoying a refreshing drink on the terrace, and end the day with a dinner at one of the many restaurants. You can opt for a gourmet dinner, Italian, Mexican or cosy old-fashioned pancakes with the whole family. In short, plenty of choice. After dinner, it is time to dance and have a drink. Midsland is rich with cosy cafes where there is plenty to do in the evening. In addition, Midsland is at the heart of various events, which means there is plenty of entertainment all year round.
Midsland offers guaranteed pleasure for young and old. You can have hours of fun in our cosy and authentic village! Stay in Résidence Terschelling Wellness Waddenresort and discover the lively village of Midsland.
